Nepal is a country of exceptional biodiversity and a beautiful natural environment. The tropical jungles of the Terai preserve some of the best wildlife habitat in the subcontinent. The heavily forested Terai region lies towards the southern belt of Nepal. Here lie two national parks:Chitwan National Park and Bardia National Park. The Sub-tropical jungles with their tall grasses, lakes and rivers, are teeming with a great variety of rare and colourful wildlife and vegetation. For those who wish to experience the natural environment at its best there is no better place to visit than Nepal. The outdoor adventure sports into the wilderness to see wild animals, birds and natural beauty. You ride on an elephant's back or on a four wheeler jeep accompanied by a fully trained guide (also known as expert Naturalists) for the love of nature and animals.
One is bound to sight a one-horned rhino or two at every elephant safari. Besides the rhinos, wild boars, samburs, spotted deer, sloth bear; four-horned antelope are also usually seen. A Royal Bengal tiger may surprise you by his majestic appearance. Nature walk or jungle walk is another way of experiencing the wilderness. In fact, jungle walk gives close-up opportunities to view animals as well as observe their tracks, signs, and sounds. Early mourning and late-afternoon walk is the best to avoid midday heat.

National Parks located specially in the Terai region in Nepal attract visitors from all over the world. A visit to these parks involves game stalking by a variety of means - foot, dugout canoe, jeep, and elephant back.
